Opening December 2022, Interlink is due to deliver the first dark ride for Vietnamese Park – Vinwonders Nha Trang. The new 315-metre-long boat ride will cover an expansive 4542 square metres, comprised of 11 unique scenes and two drops. Interlink worked alongside other partner companies in the project such as Designers, Jora Vision, United Art, LifeFormations, Red Raion, and IMAscore to deliver a fully immersive ride experience with intricate theming, animatronics, integrated digital media and a custom music score.
The attraction to be named Tata World River Adventure is themed around a pre-existing IP, already conceived by the park for a show, but now functions as the main story of the new ride. Entering the attraction, guests are led through the Fairytale Library, home to the world’s treasured and protected Fairytales, before travelling between continents, Europe, South America, and Asia. They eventually arrive at the Tata Treasury for the Pre-show portion of the experience where an animatronic Librarian recounts the tale of Princess Tata and the Pearl of Happiness.
Setting off from Princess Tata’s Palace on one of seven boats into the Fairytale world of Van Hoa, a peaceful and exotic forest, guests meander along into the Land of Flowers, where the Pearl of Happiness has been stolen from. It’s up to riders to work together to retrieve the pearl from its captor, the Dark Princess, with the help of Princess Tata’s side-kicks Monta Monkey and Tuka Parrot.
Each of the ride’s boats are styled in a vibrant pink colour palette with sparkle detailing and bright green embellishments to compliment the fantasy world which they embark upon.
The ride tours a plethora of rich environments from alluring jungles to vibrant oceans meeting creatures of all shapes and sizes before riders witness an epic stand-off between the two princesses in the land of Darkness. The attraction concludes with the discovery of the Pearl of Happiness at the top of the second lift hill and an almighty splash.
To enhance the storytelling, immersive special effects are utilised throughout the attraction including depth projection and a mechanical pepper’s ghost effect to create the illusion of the Pearl of Happiness disappearing in plain sight. The ride is also to feature one of the largest animatronic ever created in a spectacular eye-catching moment.
